Safe Alliance operates the Tree House Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) in Union County. The Tree House is a child-friendly place where child abuse professionals can work together to support and protect children who are victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse and witnesses to violence. The safety needs of children and families are addressed so that they can feel safe and are able to move forward with their healing. The Tree House provides comprehensive services for child abuse at no charge for children and their families. It is a safe place where children are listened to, respected and can disclose what happened to them. To minimize the trauma to a child and family, services are coordinated in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team including law enforcement, social services, the district attorney’s office, the health department, other medical providers and Safe Alliance. The Tree House is an accredited Children’s Advocacy Center by the National Children’s Alliance. Click on Robin’s Story to learn more about the benefits of a children’s advocacy center.
