Donate: End of Fiscal Year

Every 76 minutes the Domestic Violence or Sexual Assault crisis hotline rings, sounding an alarm in our community.  A mother, daughter, sister, brother, senior, or young adult is afraid and reaching out for help. They are calling because their partner threatened or committed violence against them; they're alone and afraid of what will happen next. Someone sexually assaulted them, or they want to escape abuse but don't know how to start.

Safe Alliance is ready the moment the phone rings and assists over 10,000 people annually. Our expert staff and volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year for anyone impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault. Our Advocates provide one-on-one confidential support to each caller, offering crisis intervention and hospital accompaniment, developing plans for immediate and long-term safety including admission to the Clyde and Ethel Dickson Domestic Violence Shelter, and connecting them with all of the resources Safe Alliance and the community has to help them through their healing journey.

Now imagine for a moment, what if the caller wasn't "them," but you? Your daughter, sister, brother, son, or mom? You, like our neighbors, would begin an unfamiliar and frightening journey. Our Advocates will be with you every step of the way. We'll be there when you go to the hospital, when you're ready to talk with a counselor or join a support group, when you stand up in front of a judge and plead your case in court, when you just need someone to listen, and when you celebrate your healing, becoming a survivor with the courage to take on the world!

Every 76 minutes, someone in crisis is reaching out, ready to begin their healing journey. It costs $2 per minute to keep our hotlines running. Your gift provides that reassuring voice on the other end of the line for anyone who needs it. The voice that calms, heals, and ultimately saves lives. You can make that possible with a generous donation.

Please think of the brave, frightened person that might need us in the next 76 minutes and make your most generous gift today. You can be their hero who provides light in the darkest of times.

Sincerely,

Karen Parker
President & Chief Executive Officer
