Every 76 minutes the Domestic Violence or Sexual Assault crisis hotline rings, sounding an alarm in our community. A mother, daughter, sister, brother, senior, or young adult is afraid and reaching out for help. They are calling because their partner threatened or committed violence against them; they're alone and afraid of what will happen next. Someone sexually assaulted them, or they want to escape abuse but don't know how to start.
Safe Alliance is ready the moment the phone rings and assists over 10,000 people annually. Our expert staff and volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year for anyone impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault. Our Advocates provide one-on-one confidential support to each caller, offering crisis intervention and hospital accompaniment, developing plans for immediate and long-term safety including admission to the Clyde and Ethel Dickson Domestic Violence Shelter, and connecting them with all of the resources Safe Alliance and the community has to help them through their healing journey.
