Raising over $30,000 with participants dressed to the nines this impactful walk was a hit! Walkers enjoyed live music, drinks, food by Tin Kitchen Food Truck and free massages.

Mike Blackwelder, Safe Alliance Chief Advancement Officer says, "I am extremely thrilled to see the results of last week's Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. This was the fourth year of the event in Charlotte, and it has continued to grow in the number of participants and dollars raised. I'm humbled by the amount of support we received, and the willingness of so many men and women to walk a mile in heels in the summer heat. The funds raised will help support so many survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and the awareness raised around the issues is invaluable."

Walk A Mile in Her Shoes is a national event that was brought to Charlotte as a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes, effects and remediations to men's sexualized violence against women.
