Each December, Safe Alliance, formerly United Family Services, creates a special Holiday Store for our clients and their families who have been impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual violence, child maltreatment, homicide and/or other violent crimes during the past year.  These families have survived a very difficult time and are striving to create a healthy life with peace, safety and love.

The Holiday Store is filled with new toys and gifts generously donated by individuals, families, associations, churches and businesses in our local community. Our clients and their children spend a few hours ‘shopping’ in our store for holiday presents for one another—the moms shop for their children and the children shop for their moms.  All of the items in the store are free to our clients and their children. 

The store helps women and their children create a special family holiday season, even during crisis. It also empowers our clients and their families to celebrate the successes they have achieved throughout the past year.

The day includes a holiday party that is held in conjunction with the Holiday Store; it gives our clients the opportunity to socialize with the UFS staff and others with whom they have formed friendships and support networks.  They are able to enjoy the holiday season with food, gifts and special friends.
