Breakfast of Hope

We raised more than $203,000 in October!

During 2020 Domestic Violence Awareness Month,
Safe Alliance rolled out "Hope Is Calling," an awareness campaign including our Breakfast of Hope Virtual Event on Oct. 29, to educate the Charlotte community about the devastating impact of domestic violence and sexual assault on our region and how they can support survivors and make our community safer. Thanks to your generosity, we raised more than $203,000, and gifts continue to arrive!

Since the pandemic began, we've seen a steady increase in calls to our 24/7 Greater Charlotte Hope Line, and we continue supporting survivors through our shelter, advocacy, counseling, legal services, and more. To meet the growing demand for resources, we shifted our focus to "Hope Is Calling," sharing our message with a wider audience and promoting the Greater Charlotte Hope Line, a lifeline for Mecklenburg County residents.

Thank you to our 2020 sponsors for helping us share our mission of hope and healing with the Charlotte community! We're also incredibly grateful to our many Champions of Hope, who worked tirelessly to raise life-saving funds for Mecklenburg County survivors. Thank you, too, to Charlotte community members who posted yard signs and shared our social media posts to raise awareness.
