April Is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time when we raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate individuals on how to prevent sexual violence and where to seek resources. You can stand with sexual assault survivors and raise awareness and funds by attending SAAM events; participating in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®; participating in Denim Day on April 28; displaying a Safe Alliance/SAAM yard sign on your property; or making a gift. You can pick up your signs at our Uptown Charlotte location (601 E. 5th St., Suite 400, Charlotte, NC 28202), or we'll begin distributing signs beginning March 27. Email Tenille Banner with questions.
