  • Join our growing team.  Safe Alliance is seeking full and part time licensed clinicians. Full time positions are available in our Union, Charlotte and Concord offices; part time positions are available in our Monroe, Charlotte, Cornelius and Concord offices.  Clinicians are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans for children, teens, adults, couples and families seeking mental health counseling.  Strong candidates will have experience with trauma and with evidence-based practices.  Spanish speaking applicants are encouraged to apply.

  • Safe Alliance is seeking a Director of Clinical Counseling.  The Director of Clinical Counseling is responsible for guiding the development of the agency’s Clinical Counseling Program, supervising assigned staff, implementing and maintaining a training and development program that enhances the knowledge, skills, abilities and ethical judgment of clinical staff and interns, developing and sustaining a clinical internship program, and overseeing the clinical services grant management process.  Qualified candidates will be licensed counselors with at least five years clinical experience and two years supervisory experience.

  • Safe Alliance is seeking a full time Victim Advocate for the Union County Sexual Trauma Resource Center, located in Monroe, NC.  The Victim Advocate is responsible for providing crisis intervention, safety planning, hospital accompaniment, case management services, and support groups for child and adult victims of sexual abuse.  Candidates must have a Bachelor or Master’s degree and two years related experience, and be fluent in Spanish and English.

Shelter Relief Staff

  • This part-time, on-call position reports to the Shelter Relief Staff Supervisor at Safe Alliance. He/she promotes the well-being and development of women and their children who are in danger of violence by the woman’s intimate partner by managing the operation of The Shelter during evenings or weekends. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Delivers client services by screening and admitting clients and by referring ineligible clients to appropriate resources, and by providing client support as needed. 
  • Maintains a safe and stable environment for clients by supervising all housekeeping functions, by enforcing Shelter policies, and by effectively handling emergency situations as they occur. 
  • Promotes and maintains harmonious working relationships with agency staff and community agencies by participating in activities that promote the agency and The Shelter for Battered Women. 
  • Contributes to direct service information by maintaining accurate, up-to-date client, division and agency records. 
  • Contributes to agency effectiveness by performing other agency duties as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited college or university OR
  • Two years of college AND at least one year residential facility experience. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Pre-employment background check required.
