LICENSED PT CLINICIAN/SPANISH SPEAKING – CHARLOTTE

This part-time (10 hours/week) position reports to the Managing Clinician in Charlotte. He/she promotes the well-being and development of individuals and families by providing individual, marital, family counseling and group counseling.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES

•             Delivers client services as needed by interviewing, diagnosing, developing, and implementing treatment plans for clients and by developing and facilitating therapy groups.

 •             Contributes to the dissemination of direct service information by maintaining accurate, up-to-date client, agency and program records.

 •             Contributes to quality services by staying informed of developments and trends in the programs’ areas of focus and by assuming an active role in professional development by attending professional seminars and conferences.

 •             Maintains good working relationships that promote the agency and the program by acquiring knowledge of and contact with community services and potential referral sources outside the agency.

 •             Contributes to the development of community alliances and partnerships by participating in neighborhood meetings, school and civic associations; leading psycho-educational and support groups; and by connecting residents to their neighborhood resources or other community agencies or services that can meet their needs.

 •             Promotes professional working relationships within the program and the agency by participating in agency and division meetings, committees, and other activities.

 •             Increases agency visibility by responding to requests from the media, as approved by the director.

 •             Assist Counseling & Education programs with Spanish speaking clients regarding the scheduling of appointments, incoming/outgoing phone calls and with the translation of pertinent documents from English to Spanish as needed.

 •             Contributes to the growth/expansion of the visibility of UFS and its services to the Hispanic community by participating in Latino Task Force Meetings and meeting with other agencies on an ongoing basis and/or as needed to market UFS and all its entities.

 •             Contributes to agency effectiveness by performing other agency duties as required.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•             Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or social work.

•             Demonstrated counseling experience in family therapy under qualified supervision.

•             LPC, LCSW or continued progress toward the completion of the licensure requirements.

 OTHER REQUIREMENTS

•             Ability to provide counseling services in Spanish is recommended.

•             Able to work frequent night/weekend shifts.

•             Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•             Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

•             Valid driver’s license and insurance required.

•             Reliable transportation required.

This part-time (8 hours/week) position reports to the Cabarrus Site Supervisor. He/she promotes the well-being and development of individuals and families by providing individual, marital, family counseling and group counseling.

CLINICAL SITE SUPERVISOR – CHARLOTTE

This full-time position reports to the Director of Counseling at Safe Alliance and will provide counseling and care to clients who have experienced trauma, sexual violence, child abuse and domestic violence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

•             Staff Care – Responsible for the supervision of the clinicians, victim advocates and interns in the office.

•             Client Care (small caseload) – use appropriate treatment interventions, diagnoses, assessment, service planning; case management, advocacy, safety planning, crisis intervention, individual, couples, family, play therapy, group intervention, (as appropriate/indicated).

•             Strategic Plan – Will serve on designated Safe Alliance teams for implementation of the strategic plan.

•             Community Presence – Will serve on community teams as designated by the Director of Counseling.

•             EAP- Will assist Director of Counseling and Clinical Specialist with the Employee Assistance Program (trainings, debriefings, etc.).

•             Grants – Will write and manage assigned grants.

•             Reporting – Will ensure appropriate data collection and monthly reporting for programs and assigned grants.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•             MSW required

•             LMFT, LPC-S, LCSW licensure

•             Demonstrated counseling experience with clients who have endured trauma, sexual violence, child abuse and domestic violence under qualified supervision.
